Czech genealogical society to host veterans tribute
The Texas Czech Genealogical Society will host “Let Freedom Ring – A Tribute to Czech Veterans” on Saturday, March 27 at Caldwell Civic/Visitor Center, 103 Presidential Corridor Hwy. 21W (at North Main), in Caldwell.
The special event will pay tribute and honor all Czech veterans. The public is invited to attend. Full Story

Our Local Hero this week is Bo Quinney.
Bo has lived in Rockdale all of his life and he has been involved in the community for many years.
He is a cabinet maker by trade and does excellent work. He has built and donated many a cabinet for benefits for fire departments and benefits for individuals.

Whitmore piano students earn awards at junior music featival
Local piano students participated in the National Federation of Music Clubs’ Junior Festival held at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Belton, on Feb. 27, according to their piano teacher Dixie Whitmore.
More than 150 students from Central Texas performed at the festival in piano, violin or voice. Full Story
