'Crime-spree kids' in Cameron linked to Rockdale theft
Vehicles, guns taken, homes vandalized as 14-year-olds end up in justice center

 Two Cameron male juveniles, arrested Friday in connection with numerous offenses in Cameron, rural northern Milam County and Bell County, are also being charged with the theft of a pickup in Rockdale.
 Lt. J. D. Newlin said the two, both ages 14, are charged with the theft of a pickup belonging to Milam County July 5 from the Precinct 3 barn on North Ackerman (FM 487).
 “A pickup stolen from Precinct 2 in Cameron was driven to Rockdale, crashed through the gate at the precinct barn here and another pickup was taken,” he said. “Both trucks were driven off. The Cameron truck was found abandoned on County Road 303 and the Rockdale truck on County Road 140.”
 Keys had been left in both trucks, investigators said.
 Newlin said one additional arrest is anticipated. The two 14-year-olds remain in the Rockdale Regional Juvenile Justice Center.
 The two juveniles were apprehended after a stakeout by Cameron police. They are also charged with taking guns from Aaron’s Gun Shop in Cameron, burglarizing Green’s Sausage House in Zabcikville, taking a truck from the TxDOT offices in Cameron, taking vehicles from several rural residences and vandalizing two rural homes by smashing windows, televisions, porches and landscaping.
 In all, the two are charged with taking seven pickups and five guns.

Probation violation
 Arlando Seth Ayala, 31, of Rockdale was arrested Monday by Deputy Sheriff James Woodward and charged with probation violation on an original charge of sexual assault of a child.
 Ayala, who was also charged with non-payment of child support, remains in the Milam County Jail
 Sheriff David Greene said Deputy Oly Ivy was called to investigate an attempted suicide in the Milano area on Saturday.
