Animals create road problems

 Milam County’s two-legged residents behaved themselves pretty well during the week but its’ four-legged inhabitants were the cause of several calls for the sheriff’s department.
 Deputy Josh Clouse was called to investigate a missing cow on County Road 203 Loop and an animal on US 79, both on Friday.
 A dead deer on US 79 was the cause of a Saturday call for Deputy Lee Dixon.
 Deputy Chris Smith was advised of an animal carcass on a public roadway near Rockdale on Friday.
 And there were the usual livestock on roadway and straying livestock calls, including Monday near Davilla, Friday on Texas 36 and CR 241 and last Wednesday near Buckholts.

 Nov. 19—Reckless driver, Milano; theft of property, Rockdale area; illegal dumping, Davilla; suspicious person, Buckholts; civil matter, Milano; criminal mischief, Cameron area; suspicious vehicle, Rockdale area.
 Thursday—Medical emergency, Davilla; shots fired, Rockdale area; attempt to locate hit-and-run, US 77; burglary of habitation, Davilla; medical emergency, Cameron area.
 Friday—Suspicious person, Milano; arrest made, US 190 and CR 202; theft of property, CR 421; possible burglary in progress, Milano; bonfire after dark, Buckholts.
 Saturday—Criminal trespass, Rockdale area; suspicious person, Gause; loud music, Cameron area; stranded motorist, Rockdale area.
 Sunday—Suspicious vehicle, San Gabriel; mailbox knocked down, CR 334; gas drive-off, Milano Cefco; abandoned vehicle, US 79 at CR 434; civil matter, Davilla; disturbance, Branchville.
