Officer Stephen Wall terminated from Rockdale Piolice Department

On March 2, 2025, the Rockdale Police Department was made aware of citizens’ concerns regarding actions taken by one of our officers during a traffic stop on the evening of March 1, 2025. A cellular phone video was shared with the police department depicting Officer Stephen Wall conducting a “high risk” or “felony” traffic stop on two occupants of a vehicle. The video did not capture the events that led to the traffic stop or the outcome of the encounter. In response to our community’s concerns, this officer was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation. Upon completion, the investigation revealed Officer Wall violated multiple departmental policies and that his actions did not coincide with the Rockdale Police Department’s core values of Integrity, Duty, and Service, resulting in his subsequent termination from employment with the Rockdale Police Department.
