PUBLIC NOTICE The City of Rockdale will hold a public hearing at 5:15 p.m. on May 19,2008 in the City Council Chambers, 505 W. Cameron Avenue, Rockdale, Texas in regard to the submissions of a Community Development Fund application and a Disaster Relief Fund application to the Office of Rural Community Affairs for Texas Community Development Block Grant Program (TxCDBG) grants. The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens an opportunity to discuss the citizen participation plan, to obtain citizen comments on the development of a 2009-2010 Community Development Fund application for submission in September 2008, and a Disaster Relief application to address damages caused by Summer 2007 floods, and inform the citizens of TxCDBG funding available, all eligible TxCDBG activities, and the use of past TxCDBG funds. The City encourages citizens to participate in the development of these TxCDBG applications and to make their views known at this public hearing. The Central Texas Council of Governments' Solid Waste Advisory Committee will hold a meeting on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 9:30 at the CTCOG offices in Room A-1, located at 2180 North Main Street in Belton.
