T’dale FCCLA group wins STAR awards
GALVESTON–Fifteen Thorndale High School students participated in the Region IV FCCLA meeting in Galveston on March 5-6, according to advisor Evelyn Hodges. Twelve of these students participated in six STAR (Students Taking Action for Recognition) events. Full Story

On Saturday, Feb. 20, members of the Thorndale High School Band participated in the UIL Solo and Ensemble contest held on the campus of Elgin High School. Sixteen students participated and brought home a total of 27 first division awards. Full Story

This week’s student of the week is senior Waylon Boyd. The son of Ed and Susan Boyd, he was nominated by math teacher Donna Scruggs, who believes that he is one of the most spirited students on campus. Boyd is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the RHS golf team. Full Story
