iTigers summer offerings and ACE grant renewal
It definitely seems like yesterday that the RISD was one of the privileged school districts to receive the 5 year ACE Grant that could fund our after school programs on all campuses.

Area students make dean’s list at TLU
SEGUIN–Texas Lutheran University (TLU) had 386 students who were named to the Dean’s Academic Honor List and President’s Academic Honor List for the 2016 spring semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 while enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours. Full Story

Where has the time gone? It seems just like yesterday we were in August watching football and volleyball practice as we were busy preparing in-service for the start of the school year.

RJH to promote 106 in Friday ceremony
Speeches by valedictorian Whitley Boyd and salutatorian Madeline Moody will highlight promotion exercises for Rockdale Junior-High School’s Class of 2016, at 10 a.m. Friday in the junior-high gymnasium, according to Principal April Eschberger.
Boyd posted a 4.282 grade-point average in her three-year RJH academic career. She is the daughter of Eddie and Susan Boyd. Full Story
Young eagles fly
YOUNG EAGLES FLY—Volunteer aviators with the Young Eagles program were at Coffield Regional Airport Saturday giving free airplane rides to over 20 youngsters and adults. A total of 50 persons attended the event including pilot Fidot Fomichev and aviation enthusiast Ryan Glowka. Full Story

THORNDALE—Savannah Garcia and Jordan- Schramm are the valedictorian and salutatorian of the 45-member Thorndale High School graduating class of 2016.

MILANO—Keely Lagrone and James Cole Sheppard are the valedictorian and salutatorian of the 2016 graduating class of Milano High School.
Graduation will start at 7 p.m. at Geneva Paceley Gym in Milano High School.

Rockdale High School graduating seniors picked up $272,900 in the annual RHS Awards Night ceremony in the high school gym.
