The Milano 4-H Club is taking part in a countywide community service project for our Veterans. The group is making and will be mailing Veterans Day cards for veterans in our area. The club also elected officers at its last meeting. Club officers for the 2020-21 4-H year are: Montgomery Popham, president; Hannah Bakken, first vice president; Ally Andrews, second vice president; Jaxon Owens, secretary; Bradley Bakken, treasurer. The club’s next meeting is set for 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, via Zoom.
CHRISTMAS PARADE—The Milano city council voted to hold its annual Christmas parade. The event is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12.
The parade will follow its normal route around town, ending at the Milano Civic Center.
However, the annual free community Christmas dinner has been can been canceled due to not being able to social distance properly during the meal.
For the parade, divisions for entries: floats, bicycles/walking/ small animals, vehicles/tractors, small motorized/battery operated (golf carts, four-wheelers, lawn mowers, etc) and horses/ wagons.
HALLOWEEN—The Bakkens’ porch light will be on Saturday night for any little monsters, ghost, princesses and super heroes that are looking for treats. Word is several other Milano residents will be doing the same with their lights and treat bowls.
