While many Reporter readers will be glued to their television this Sunday for Super Bowl LIV, a former Caldwell High School football player will be on the other side of that television.
Kris Kocurek, a 1997 graduate of CHS will be on the sidelines as the defensive line coach for the San Francisco 49ers, who take on the Kansas City Chiefs at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
After his time as a Hornet, Kocurek spent a short amount of time on the Tennessee Titans roster before moving to coaching where he spent time in the same position at Texas A&M-Commerce, West Texas A&M and Stephen F. Austin before moving on to the NFL to coach in Detroit, Miami and San Francisco.
He is the son of Greg and Judy Kocurek, of Deanville.
