There is less than a week to get signed up for your arts and crafts booth at the upcoming Christmas bazaar.
The Milano Christmas Bazaar is looking for vendors to sell between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m on the same day as the city’s Christmas parade, Dec. 12.
The fees for the arts and crafts or food concession booths are $20 each for 10-feet by 10-feet space. The booths will be set up outside and no electricity will be available.
To get a form to sign up, contact 979-219-2138 or email mamasbecraftin@ yahoo.com. Deadline to turn vendor applications are Dec. 9.
Vendor will start being notified of booth space starting Dec. 5. Booth spaces are limited. Vendors should be set up ready to sale by 9 a.m. on bazaar day.
PARADE—The Milano city council has made a couple of changes to the annual Christmas parade, but it is still set for 10 a.m. Dec. 12.
This year’s event won’t have any theme or divisions, or plaques given out.
It will be an opportunity to have a wonderful time spreading Christmas cheer in the community. So build your float, decorate your vehicle, dress up your pet and help spread the spirit of Christmas and goodwill toward all, all while social distancing, of course.
Line up starts at 9 a.m. at the football field parking lot and will wind its way through to the downtown area.
MVFD FUNDRAISER—The Milano Volunteer Fire Department is working on their annual fundraiser. The group is selling tickets for a variety of guns (in the form of Academy gift cards) for $5 each or five for $20.
The drawing will be held at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 20. Need not be present to win.
Prizes include: two Henry Golden Boy 22 long rifles, two Taurus Public Defenders .45/410, Remington 700, Marlin 336W 30-30, Remington 870 shotgun, Ruger American bolt action 22 long rifle, Smith & Wesson 9mm and a $100 Academy gift card.
Tickets are available from any MVFD fireman. Let me know if you are interested in buying tickets, at m_ lagrone@yahoo.com or call 254-718-0133.
