Rockdale residents turned entrepreneurs over the past weekend to participate in the annual Community Garage Sale.
Even though the rains came, several bargain hunter roamed the area, most all in masks, in search of a good buy that could be found from the northside to the southside and points east and west around the town.
More than 16 sites opened up for the sale that stretched from Thursday to Saturday.
All sorts of things were up for grabs at the many locations including clothes, TV sets, furniture, purses and knick-knacks of all sorts.
Most of the garage sale sites were homes, but First Assembly of God on Childress also took part in the annual sale.
The church had baked goods on sale to sweeten the deals for some visitors to the church.
The annual giant flea market is sponsored by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce and held in conjunction with the Labor Day weekend.
