POLICE REPORT
Two weeks ago, Rockdale police expressed the hope all the “Hollywood money” counterfeit bills circulating around town had been accounted for.
That turned out to be a bit premature.
Lt. Stephen Goodrich said two more of the phony bills, both $20s, turned up during the week.
The bills appear to have been fake money printed for the express purpose of being used in films. They are easily detectable because the portraits on the bills have exaggerated features, including unnaturally large noses.
ARRESTS—Police made an arrest for sexual assault on Sunday.
Dylan Keith Woods, 24, of Rockdale remains in the Milam County Jail at press-time in lieu of $30,000 bond.
Goodrich termed the incident “something that started out consensual and then became non-consensual.
An incident which resulted in broken ribs for the victim was the subject of a Saturday arrest, according to police.
Larry Dean Foster, 55, of Rockdale was charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
He was released after posting $25,000 bond.
Other felony arrests during the past week included:
• Michael Jerome McDowell Jr., 25, Rockdale, burglary of habitation, in custody on $20,000 bond.
• Alisha Marie Sorrells, 33, Rockdale, parole violation, in custody, no bond.
• Daniel Ward Phillips, 42, Rockdale, motion to proceed-manufacture/delivery of controlled substance (4 to 200 grams), bond surrender-assault cause bodily injury family member, in custody on $155,000 bond.
• Stacey Hall Brewer, 34, Rockdale, possession of a controlled substance (less then one gram), bond forfeiture-possession of a controlled substance (less than one gram), released on $6,000 bond.
RUNAWAY—Police said a juvenile runaway was reported but was located “in just a couple of hours” and returned to parents.
CITATIONS—Police issued six speeding tickets during the week, along with one citation for driving the wrong way.
SERVICE CALLS—Officers responded to 187 calls for service during the past week and there were 60-calls received through the 911 emergency system.
