You’ll find our FYI magazine in your paper today. FYI is one of The Rockdale Reporter readers’ favorite special sections of the year and it’s a handy reference guide to keep around for Rockdalians, newcomers and visitors alike.

This year we printed 5,000 issues. FYI magazine will be distributed in the paper and will also be put into the visitor’s packets at the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce. New RISD teachers will also receive them. They are placed in hotels, grocery stores and other businesses so the magazine is easy to find and free for anyone to pick up.

This year we have extended our circulation for FYI magazine to five counties in addition to Milam County. Select locations in Milam, Lee, Burleson, Brazos, Bell and Williamson Counties are included in our distribution.

Rockdale has many organizations working together to create new opportunities for our city’s growth, and excellent schools to make Rockdale a great place to live and raise a family.

TxDOT’s downtown, highway and sidewalk projects will give our city a new look and a safe way to get around.

Look inside for listings of Rockdale’s parks, area golf courses and lakes, all of the city and school information needed to make life easier, especially for newcomers. There are healthcare and restaurant listings to make those things easy to find. Also, special points of interest around both Rockdale and Milam County.

I would like to thank our advertisers for supporting our FYI magazine for our readers. Without you, this handy guide would not be possible. Enjoy!
