Ilost my virginity last week in a way. For the first time ever, I ate at Tex Miller’s in Cameron. I have always heard of it, but I’d never been until last Thursday. People were surprised that I’d never eaten there.
Someone told me that a regular burger with only one patty was not enough food and to order the “double double” which is what I got. And boy was it delicious. It tasted homemade and I felt like it was made with love.
I may have been the last person who hasn’t eaten there from the comments I got on my social media, but if you haven’t eaten there yet, you definitely should. Certainly worth the drive to Cameron even though I was going there anyway for another reason. —kwc— Milano Project Graduation is holding its annual Chicken Dinner and Bake Sale on Sunday, April 21 at the KC Hall in Rockdale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Latin may be a dead language, but its influence is everywhere including in how we express time. When we say a.m. we are using the Latin phrase ante meridiem, which translates into English as “before midday.” And p.m. stands for post meridiem, meaning “after midday.”
Sometimes when it’s 12 o’clock it’s easier to say 12 noon or 12 midnight.
So now you know. Fun facts to know and tell.
