Every Kid Healthy Week is an annual observance created in 2013 to celebrate school health and wellness achievements.

The observances are April 26-30, with each day’s spotlight on the actions schools and families can take to improve the health and wellness of their kids and the link between nutrition, physical activity, mental health, and learning; because healthy kids are better prepared to learn and thrive.

Here are themes for the rest of this week:

• Wellness Wednesday: Explore with your kids or students what wellness means to them, and then develop self-care strategies.

• Thoughtful Thursday: Nurture kids’ social health and positive relationships.

• Fitness Friday: Get moving. Physical activity fuels not only the body but the mind, too.
