The Rockdale Hospital District uses the money collected from Hospital District taxes to help support the Rockdale HealthPoint Clinic. The Rockdale Hospital District fulfills its obligations to provide indigent care assistance to the eligible residents of the District in accordance with and as set forth in the applicable provisions of the Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 61. This is accomplished through a Federally Qualified Health Center Support Agreement between Brazos Valley Community Action Agency, Inc. (HealthPoint) and the Rockdale Hospital District. This tax money furthers the accessibility of primary and preventive care to medically underserved individuals and needy inhabitants in the District community and to improve the health status of individuals of the community served by the HealthPoint Clinic.
