Dear editor
On behalf of the La Escuelita Board and Members, we would like to send out a sincere Thank You to all the supporters of our recent La Escuelita and St. Joseph’s Cemetery Spring Dance Fundraiser on May 14.
The event was a huge success for our organization. We hope all who attended had a great time eating brisket tacos, munching on goodies, listening to the DJ’s music and dancing the night away.
We want to thank the following supporters: brisket donations, David and Suzie Montelongo, Fred and Maureen Silva, David and Lydia Torres and Eddie Fernandez; JJ Vargas for his time as DJ; Jose and Esmeralda Ruelas-Olivares (our new Council supporter) for the $500 donation for a picnic table, and thank you and congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Goodrich as the winner of the picnic table. Thank you to the Piaz Family for the rental of the VFW Hall, Caffey Corner Store for the donated ice; David Melton and Ray Mata, our fabulous door greeters.
For all the personal donations, whether monetary or personal time crafting the table decorations or donating their personal time to help set-up, work in the kitchen, work in any capacity that assisted our May 14 event we offer a most sincere thank you to all!
We do not mean to overlook anyone so if we did, it is not intentional. We know we can’t be a success without our supporters. We love and appreciate you all!
