Dear editor,
I had heard about the hospital closing for awhile and now it is a reality.
I also thought about the elderly ones and even younger people who depend upon the doctor being in Rockdale, as many can’t drive, or have a family member who can take them there.
My heart goes out to the ones who are truly suffering, who are sick, or who live with pain 24.7.
The last time I went to a doctor who came to Rock-dale to see patients, about a month ago, we talked about the closing and we also talked about the Lord Jesus Christ.
The doctor put a hand on the door to leave the room, turned to me and said: “Will you be in prayer with me that the Lord Jesus Christ will help me to keep coming to Rockdale?”
Of course I said: “Oh, yes.”
I know there are some true, believing Christians in Rockdale who know how to pray. Matthew 18:19: .... That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”
We need a hospital. We need good doctors coming to Rockdale. So I would ask all Christians in Rock-dale, when you say your daily prayers, let us agree together, that with God all things are possible, that He will hear our prayers and answer and restore the hospital to Rockdale.
And then we will have good doctors coming to Rockdale to help the sick and the ones who live with pain and can’t travel to other cities.
Some may say, “have you really heard all the bad about the hospital and what a bad shape it’s in?”
Yes, I have heard. But, I also say that we serve a “Big God” and with him all things are possible.
