Dear editor, This is a request to all of our proud family and friends. My daughter, Tatiana Olivares, is completing her Plebe summer at the Academy for the next six weeks. She is participating in intensive trainings. She would greatly appreciate the words of encouragement in a sealed envelope. The letters were a true source of motivation the last go around. If you decide to send a small care package through USPS, please DO NOT send sweets or caffeine. They will be confiscated and she will be reprimanded. It can include protein such as bars, nuts, jerky, hydration packets, Windex wipes, Shout wipes, etc. No gum or anything with poppy seeds.
Also, if you feel inclined, there are other plebes who may have little family support. You may write or send care packages to them at the address below. For any family/ friends in the area who may be on the yard at the Academy, please get photos/ videos of any plebes you see without distractions and send them to me. I will post them in the parent group as many families are thousands of miles away from their young adults.
Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers, and know that as her mother, I truly appreciate you .
