Likes watermelon column, corrects quote

Dear editor,

Thanks to Bill Cooke for his column about the good times, the good old days, black diamond melons, big yellow catfish and rattle snakes.

When I was a young boy, five or six years old, my dad raised black diamond melons and I remember the big yellow catfish, matter of fact, I went on a few of those fishing trips.

Also, I made a misquote in the letter of March 14 paper about abortion. The misquote was from Proverbs 6:17. The King James Bible, which I use does say, “and hands that shed innocent blood.” I tried to quote this from memory, and I got it wrong. I do apologize for getting God’s Holy Word wrong.
