Many positive thingsvhappening in our town
Dear editor:
Anyone who knows me knows that I love Rockdale, Texas with its rich heritage and bright future.
I live here because this is where I want to live. I’m so happy to see positive things happen, things which point to the good things about our community.
I am so proud of Mike Brown and the positive attention which he has brought not only to himself but also to Rockdale because of the lovely article about him and his skill as a newspaper man in the National Review.
It not only points out his skill as a newspaper editor, but it also gives a positive salute to our wonderful, weekly newspaper, The Rockdale Reporter
Thank you, Mike, for being you.
Other positive things are happening. Dave Melton and his Earth Day folks are making things look better.
City Manager Chris Whittaker is helping with publicizing and helping us to appreciate our history.
County Judge Steve Young is exerting a strong influence to make things cleaner and better.
The Chamber of Commerce and other civic organizations produce a positive aura to keep us on the right track. El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail is looming more visible and more important in our future!
I hope that we can all work together to keep good things going.
