Thanks for Earth Day efforts by volunteers

Early in the year, few would have predicted how COVID-19 would impact virtually every aspect of our daily lives. Our “Day of Service,” had to be canceled due to concerns over the spread of the virus.
To achieve some of our plans and goals for the year, we had to rely on volunteers who would work individually, and in “quarantine teams,” to complete several projects around town.

A new initiative for 2020 was to be the showing of two movies at the Kay Theater: “Monkey Kingdom,” and “Love and Bananas.” Donations had been

Talented art students from Rockdale Junior High and Senior High participated in competitions to produce this year’s poster and t-shirt.
We look forward to 2021, when we will again take pride in the large group of students and staff of the Rockdale ISD who will assist with clean-up, and beautification projects around town.
