Dear editor, I loved your column about the concrete mess in downtown Rockdale.
What so much concrete? It has taken away the two lanes in each direction, and the part that takes away our right turning lane at the corner of the library.
Is it going to make Rockdale pretty? I don’t think so. And that’s my opinion!
We definitely need a bypass around Rockdale. The traffic is horrible and, in my opinion, is a mess.
Thanks for speaking up about this whole mess. Keep up the good work!

(From the editor: Dear Mrs. Weller, your letter made me laugh, especially your post script. The reason we are down to a middle turning lane and one lane in each direction is because no one wanted parallel parking downtown. I hope each downtown business will plant flowers or use some type of artwork to detract the eye away from all the concrete. That is what I am planning in front of The Reporter once this project is finally finished, if it ever is. I appreciate your letter and for being a loyal reader. —KWC)
