Rockdale High School is fortunate in its selection of a principal and coach for the coming term, having secured Mr. W.T. “Billy” Magee, of Georgetown. Mr. Magee was here the past week and signed contract with the school board. Mr. Magee is a Georgetown boy, a member of one of the best families of that city. He is a graduate of Southwestern University, receiving his degree this spring, and making a record for scholarship. He majored in the sciences and will have charge of the Science Department in Rockdale High School, also being principal of the high school. In addition to his school work Mr. Magee will coach athletics, and followers of high school athletics may be assured that Rockdale High athletes will be in good hands.

The editor of The Reporter leaves tonight for San Antonio, where, under the skillful fingers of Dr. H.H. Ogilvie at Baylor Hospital, he will undergo an operation for the removal of the gall bladder. He will doubtless be away from his desk for several weeks, and during that time the paper will be under the management of the associate editor, Mr. Will E. James. The editor cordially commends Mr. James to Reporter patrons and trusts they will accord him a liberal patronage and complete cooperation for the good of the paper and the community as a whole.
