Burk, 9-year-old son of Luther McDonald of the Sharp community, was instantly killed when he fell from a wagon driven by his father, receiving a crushed skull. Mr. McDonald was driving an empty, wide-tired heavy wagon, with the lad riding in the rear. Someone passed and the boy leaned over the side of the wagon to wave a greeting, lost his balance and fell out. His head fell immediately in the track of the heavy rear wheel which passed over it, crushing the skull and causing instant death. The accident happened near the Sharp church and the father drove on several paces before he knew anything had happened.

Breakfast and supper would be served a la carte, while a special 5-cent luncheon would be served beginning at noon. Mrs. Larrieu solicited and appreciated your patronage.
