Monday afternoon Mrs. Robert Lee Hale was delightful hostess to the Bridge Club, in her apartment at the Larrieu Hotel. Christmas bells, crimson berries and green foliage made attractive Yuletide decorations. Brillant poinsettias gave an added beauty to the scene. Tables for the games were covered in red and green, and the score cards were in holly and Christmas candle motif. Miss Eleanor Phillips held club high score and was awarded a novelty black oilcloth bridge cover and a pad. Miss Miriam Loewenstein held guest high score and was presented a pretty pair of enameled show trees. Mrs. Hale served the following delicious two course menu on bamboo trays: Potatoes, olives, coffee; marshmallow whip, delicate cake which carried out the red and green color scheme. Boxes of candy in red wrappings and poinsettia seals were given as favors.
