That’s what the 2010 Census figures, released in February by the U. S. Census Bureau, indicated. The 2010 count listed a population of 5,595 for Rockdale, just 43 more than the 5,552 living in Cameron. Rockdale gained 2.9 percent over the 5,439 counted in 2000.
