Milam County 4-H will host a 4-H food challenge on June 22 at the Market Day at the Yards.
Kids cooking event starts at 10:30 a.m. but the Market Days starts at 9 a.m. and last till 1 p.m. and there will also be a mini Play Streets at the event.
Come and enjoy some fun food and activities.
The Yards are located at 301 Adams Ave, Cameron, just off Texas 36.
There will also be a competition for the best salsa with adult and youth divisions, as well as best restaurant division.
Salsa must arrive at The Yards by 9 a.m. registration time, judging to begin shortly afterwards and winners announced by 10.
Pinterest Camp (used to be FCS Camp) will be July 19 at Bea’s Kitchen in Cameron from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
We will do some fun activities related to Pinterest at this camp. This is also a new time than last year.
Please make sure you call to register. Admission is to bring a children’s book to donate.
Photography Day Camp will be held July 29 at the Cameron Chamber Meeting Room.
Ages 7-11 will meet from 8 to 11 a.m, and ages 12-18 from 1 to 3 p.m. Limit to 15 per time.
The kids will learn about basic photography and how to take the right pictures. Please bring a phone or camera. You must call to register for camp.
Playstreets are family fun days at the Cameron Elementary playground July 16 and July 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. P
Please come and have fun with us. No registering required on Playstreets activities.
