The Milam County Sheriff’s Office awarded many in the department
Milam County Sheriff’s Office celebrated our outstanding employees over the last two days at our annual Christmas parties that also served as our awards banquets. Several employees were recognized for their exceptional service for this past year, serving as peace officers, telecommunications officers, corrections officers and in administrative services. Although not all employees were given an award, they are highly valued within this office for the dedicated work they do.

• Administrator of the Year – Chief John Mendoza.

• Investigator of the Year – Capt. John Vargas.
• Administrative Support of the Year – Wynema Adams.

• Service Award – 47 Years of Dedicated Service to Texas as a Peace Officer – Jail Administrator Doug Veach.
• Longest Tenured Employee – Corporal Becca Ferguson .
• Best Mullet Jail Division – Weston Avrett.
• Best Mullet Administration – Lt. Randy Rodriguez.
• Divine Intervention Award – Deputy Keith Beasley.
