Congratulations to all the Chamber Banquet Award Winners. You are all winners in our book.
It was a great banquet, and also a big thank you goes out to Rebecca Vasquez for being a dedicated Chairman for the past several years.
Congratulations to Gin-no’s Italian Restaurant for being our “Business in the Spotlight”.
Ginno’s has been in Rock-dale for 2 years and has now opened a bar at their restaurant to enhance their dinner menu.
All things looking good for Ginno’s, located at 1200 W. Cameron at the newly renamed Rockdale Inn (formerly Kountry Inn). They also deliver.
BIZ OF MONTH—Our Business of the Month is Rockdale Welding Supply located at 2004 West Cameron (US 79).
Randy Fletcher says they are open Monday-Friday, 8-5 and Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon.
Our 1st Friday Coffee at the library is April 5 and is sponsored by the The Thursday Reading Club.
Come have coffee and see what’s going on in Rockdale. TURKEY SHOOT—April 7 the Rockdale American Legion is having a Turkey Shoot starting at noon.
Cost is $5 per round and there will be 12 shooters per round. Food and drinks available. Come out and have fun supporting Milam County Veterans.
Fridays, through April 12 the KC’S have their Fish Fry, at the KC Hall from 5-7 p.m., or until they run out, for $10 a plate. Be sure you check it out, those guys really know how to fry fish.

BUSY DAY—On April 13 we have several things happening. Linwood Acres Garden Club is having their plant exchange at the Chamber from 9 a.m. to 12-noon or when they run out.
That night is Place of Hope “Hope Night”, which will be at the KC Hall.
The Easter Bunny might show up at the Community Easter Egg Hunt on April 19, Good Friday at Fair Park at 10 a.m.
So bring the kids and their baskets for some Easter Eggstravaganza.
EARTH DAY—April 22 is Earth Day. Lots of activities happening so be sure to get on board with one of the committees.
The Chamber is sponsoring a “Lunch N Learn” at noon April 24 at the Workforce Center with Jim Pillans, Business Advisor of the SBDC (Small Business Development Center), who will be presenting “Talking Dollars and Cents”.
All of you small businesses need to come hear what Jim can do for you and your business for free.
Want to know what the Chamber does for you? Well here it is. You have to come see. So, come join us for a free lunch and a great presentation.
