Historical Commission meeting on Monday
The Milam County Historical Commission will hold their meeting at the Little River Baptist Church.
The meeting will be at 10 a.m. Monday, according to Beth Brooks, publicity editor.
Deanville VFD holds fried chicken fundraiser
The Deanville Volunteer Fire Department will hold a fried chicken fundraiser on Oct. 11 starting at 11 a.m.
This event will be drive-though only and the plates include fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and noodles for $10.
At 7 a.m. that morning barbecue brisket, pork, chicken and homemade sausage will be available by the pound.
Masks and social distancing will be required. The
Deanville VFD is located at 6298 FM-111.
Heavenly Treasures sidewalk sales continue
Heavenly Treasures continues to hold sidewalk sales through October on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
Tuesdays will be Christmas and Halloween themed and Wednesdays will be for clothing. Donations may be placed
Donations may be placed on the back porch any time.
Bushdale Cemetery Association meeting set for Saturday
Bushdale Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church fellowship hall.
The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a potluck luncheon.
