I had the pleasure of working with Victoria Everett who I called to help me get organized in my office which had gotten so out of hand that I had to seek professional help. And I am so pleased with how everything turned out.
And not only helping me to get organized, but she did lots of cleaning as well. And some of the dust and dirt in this office probably went back to when it was my grandfather’s office many moons ago. There was an embarrassing amount of dead crickets and Cheetos under my desk. I’ll take credit for the Cheetos.
I feel such a sense of accomplishment, and I can breathe easier because there is far less dust in here. So call Victoria to help you get organized at 512- 213-9454. Or you can email her at embracingyourjoy@ gmail.com. Very reasonable rates and great ideas that I wouldn’t have thought of myself. Thanks Victoria!
Do you need something special to do on Saturday? My friend, Henry Miller, said there is going to be a driveby parade at 1 p.m. on Third Street celebrating the 104th birthday of Miss Gertherine Green.
Sounds like fun to me and a great way to celebrate a 104th birthday. Happy birthday Miss Green!
We had such a fun family weekend that I felt like I needed an extra day to recover on Monday.
Saturday we had our annual shrimp boil at Noelia’s house and it was delicious as usual. Not usual was that we only had one kid there so it was a much smaller affair than normal. We still somehow managed to eat it all though. Shrimp, crab, potatoes, sausage, and my favorite, fresh sweet corn all perfectly cooked by our family Mexican Cajun.
On Sunday Dad grilled his famous-in-our-family hamburgers and they were also delicious.
Right after we ate, Mary Lou showed up with two week-old potbellied pigs and her granddaughter Jayci, and the pigs were a hit. They were so cute. I don’t think I’ve ever held a baby pig. I might need to get one as a pet. But then I’d be mad when it grew up.
If you ever get a chance to hold a baby pig, my advice is to do so.
