Burn ban lifted after recent rain
The Milam County outdoor burn ban was lifted at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, according to County Judge Steve Young.
Milam’s burn ban lifting applies only to rural areas of the county.
Municipalities in the county, including Rockdale, have their own, permanent, outdoor burn bans.
Recent general rains in the county have estimates ranging from 2.6 up to six inches cumulative.
More rain, along with cooler temperatures, is forecast at midweek.
