Ask and ye shall receive. Boy did I get a lot of help when I asked for it last week. Both Lindsey Lillard and Tiffany Commerford Whitsel helped me and now I can share our RHS athletes’ successes on our social media with our readers and followers, and I’m very excited about that.
I also got lots of advice from readers who aren’t associated with the school. I am too old to know what needed to be changed in order for me to be able to share, but so many people had advice for me. So thanks to everyone, but especially Lindsey and Tiffany!

“Mrs. Smith,” he said, eyes wide, “You do realize these are birth control pills?”
“Oh yes, doctor,” she replied with a smile. “They really help me sleep at night.”
The young doctor was confused. “Mrs. Smith, there’s nothing in those pills that would help you sleep!”
She patted his knee, “Oh, dear. I understand, but trust me, they definitely help me sleep at night.”
She leaned in closer, lowered her voice, and added, “You see, every morning, I grind one up and mix it into the glass of orange juice that my 16-year-old granddaughter drinks!”
Sometimes, peace and quiet comes at a very creative price!
—kwc— One afternoon, a man was reading the newspaper when his wife suddenly came up behind him and smacked him on the head with a frying pan.
“Why in the world did you do that?!” he yelled.
“I found a piece of paper in your coat pocket with the name ‘Suzy’ on it,” she replied.
He rubbed his head and said, “Honey, remember last week when I went to the races with some friends? Suzy was the name of the horse I was betting on.”
She fell silent. But three days later, as he was reading the newspaper again, his wife emerged from behind him and smacked him on the head again.
“Why again?!” he shouted.
She smiled and said, “Just wanted to let you know your horse called.” —kwc— A Sunday school teacher was teaching the Ten Commandments to her five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to “honor thy father and thy mother,” she asked,”Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?”
One little boy shouted, “Thou shall not kill.”
