The Christian has to make hard decisions on a regular basis.
We have three battles We fight the world, the devil and ourselves. All three are worthy adversaries.
I have a theory about “most” Christians. I think most want to grow, mature and experience God…maybe they are just unsure of how to do it.
So how do we grow? Let’s think about three wrong ways and three right ways.
The Three Wrong Ways New Church—Often times when we are not growing we go looking for new church home.
Listen, when you find the perfect church, don’t join it because then it won’t be perfect anymore.
Big Goals—Think New Year’s Resolutions.
Not one of mine became true. These big goals come and they go, the bigger the goal doesn’t ensure big success.
Will Power—Might does not make right.
Gritting your teeth doesn’t make you patient. Will power can help but as friend says it probably won’t create sustainable change in your life.
The Three Right Ways Habit No. 1—Create a habit of reading your Bible everyday.
Simply, spend time with God. It’s worship.
When we spend with God the Holy Spirit will change us from the inside out.
Habit No. 2—Pray. Again, worship.
Praying is spending time with God. You are who you hang with.
Prayer is a conversation. Talk to God but be sure to listen to God speak as well. Habit No. 3—Chase corporate worship opportunities and fellowship within the body of Christ.
True Christian fellowship is hard to find, therefore probably not sought after and is even undervalued within the church today. Be the change you want in the Kingdom.
Create a culture/environment where real fellowship happens, where two or three are gathered God is there. He told me to tell you that.
