The editorial from the September 9th edition of The Rockdale Reporter was from the American Legion magazine publisher talking about what the American Legion can do for veterans in general. We have a post here in Rockdale that stands ready to assist any veteran in any way we can. We invite any veteran to come visit us, ask questions and perhaps join our post.
We often hear about the VFW and American Legion as the old man’s club. That is not what we strive to be. We welcome veterans of any age, race and gender to join because the diversity only serves to make us stronger.
For more information on what the Legion can do for you and what you can do for the Legion, please call 512-446-2996 . Or even better, come to one of our meetings. We meet the first Monday of the month at 1800 hours.
For the overall community, we have a post home that is available for rent. In addition, we have a shooting range that is open to the public. For information, call the same number.
