It is with great pride and excitement that we welcomed our students back to Rockdale Elementary School for the 2021-2022 school year.
Our students have been learning our processes and procedures and having a whole lot of fun in the process.
Our focus is to “Uplift Others.” Now more than ever, we need to uplift each other, and we want to uplift our students.
We want our students to enjoy coming to school, and we hope to instill a love of learning that will grow with them.
Our goal is for our students to feel good about themselves and what they are learning.
New to our campus for 2021-2022 is a learning program on character education.
Counselor, Brooksy Fisher, will be teaching character development lessons in the classes this year using the Seven Mindsets curriculum.
This platform aims to build meaningful relationships in the classroom and beyond.
The Seven Mindsets curriculum is based on the concept that happy people have 28 common thoughts. These include values, purpose, expectations, mindfulness, seeks/welcomes help, relationships, confidence, passion and more.
These 28 common thoughts make up the 7 Mindsets.
This month, students have learned, “Everything is Possible,” to focus on the awesome things they do all the time, think positive, to dream big, and embrace creativity.
We have worked to develop solid instruction for our learners, and we appreciate the continued support we receive from our community and our parents as we start our new school year.
In 2021-2022 we will Uplift Others, and help our students realize how special Rockdale Elementary School is and as always to #BeRockdaleProud.
