—Here’s a part of the new city jail most people will hopefully never see. Hopefully. During a Thursday tour of the new facility by city employees and Rockdale’s engineering firm (L-R) Lon Williams, Ofc. Johnathan Richardson, Barbara Williams and Paula Phillips check out the cells. An open house at the new facility is set for 10 a.m. April 4 with the first day of operation April 17. Lon Williams is code enforcement officer and Phillips is municipal court clerk.
