Milam Community Theater’s production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown in Rockdale on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon drew the biggest crowds for the cast and crew since the play started in late July in Cameron. About 80 people attended here.
Director Val Gameiro coaxed great performances from the cast which included both speaking parts and musical numbers.
Brian Luck, from Manor, did a great job in the title role, along with a no-nonsense Lucy played by Victoria Everett StJohn. Snoopy was played by Ryan Heller from Cameron who did a super job on his showcase piece called “Suppertime.”
Noah Bradley, a Cameron ISD eighth grader, held his own with the adults as Schroeder, while Charlie Brown’s sister, Sally, was played spectacularly by Breanna Ameigh of Temple, who got lots of laughs. Rounding out the main characters was Seth Tyson as Linus with his security blanket.
Rockdalian Melissa Shipley played the piano for the musical numbers. Mona Butala, Cheryl Heller and Nikki Bora were part of the chorus. Play written by Clark Gesner and Andrew Lippa.
