—This is Rockdale and this is also how the route looked for more than 70 miles Tuesday as the late Milam County Sheriff David Greene came home for the final time. A two-mile long procession with scores of law enforcement and emergency personnel carried Greene’s body from the Austin airport down to Rockdale and then Cameron. Greene died Friday in Portland, Oregon, after sustaining a heart attack June 26.
