‘Pickups, returns’ set May 19th in RISD

In this “School Year Like No Other,” Rockdale ISD students still need to pick up their personal belongings and return school-owned items.

And the Rockdale ISD is accommodating them with “pick-ups and returns” on Tuesday, May 19.

Here’s the schedule:

HIGH SCHOOL

Last names A-E—12-noon to 1 p.m.

F-J—1 to 2 p.m.

K-O—2 to 3 p.m.

P-T—3 to 4 p.m.

U-Z—4 to 5 p.m.

Anyone—5 to 6 p.m.

“We have assigned times based on the alphabet, but you are welcome to come at any time you are available, if your time slot does not work with your schedule,” Principal Brent Hasselbach said.

Dropoff locations are as follows:

• RHS property at the front loop.

• PE/Athletic at the lower gym doors.

• Band at the back loading dock.

• Art at the auditorium entrance.

• Ag property at the Ag Shop.

JUNIOR-HIGH

RJH campus items will be returned and collected from 12-noon to 6 p.m. in the bus loop.

Personal belongings from school and P.E lockers will be available for pick-up along with band instruments.

Students will return library books, technology and pay any outstanding fees required for school year completion.

INTERMEDIATE

Pick up belongings at the RIS car line on the following schedule:

Last names A-E—12-noon to 1 p.m.

F-J—1 to 2 p.m

K-O—2 to 3 p.m.

P-T—3 to 4 p.m.

U-Z—4 to 5 p.m.

Anyone—5 to 6 p.m.

ELEMENTARY

Pick-up line at front of the school. Stay in car. Your child’s teacher will gather any supplies and belongings and put them in a bag with that child’s name: Schedule is as follows:

Last names A-E—12-noon to 1 p.m.

F-J—1 to 2 p.m

K-O—2 to 3 p.m.

P-T—3 to 4 p.m.

U-Z—4 to 5 p.m.

Those unable to attend at scheduled times—5 to 6 p.m.

If children in a family have different last names, the RISD will go with the youngest child’s last name. You will be able to gather supplies for all your children at once.

Parents/guardians are asked to go through backpacks to see if anything needs to be returned to the school.

Library books, personal teacher books and guided reading books are among the most common items which need to be returned.
