POLICE REPORT
There were six vehicle accidents reported in Rock-dale during the past week, one involving a motorized wheelchair and one involving a bicycle.
Police Chief Thomas Harris said only “slight” injuries were reported.
A car driven by Joseph Bradley of Rockdale struck a motorized wheelchair occupied by Larry Ziem of Rock-dale at 7:37 a.m. Dec. 3 in the Hunter’s Chase parking lot.
Ziem, 64, was taken by AMR ambulance to be checked over.
Police said a car driven by Crystal Pratt of Cameron struck a bicycle operated by Ricardo Martinez, also of Cameron, at 9:09 a.m. Thursday in front of Rock-dale Federal Credit Union.
Martinez, 66, was also transported by AMR.
MORE —The Days Inn parking lot was the site of what police termed a minor accident with minor damage at 6:24 a.m. Dec. 3.
Drivers were listed as Luis Delgadillo of Checotah, Oklahoma, and John Abbot of Temple.
Police said a Jeep driven by Lorena Perez of Rock-dale was in collision with a parked car registered to Lee Ann Jenkins of Rockdale at 9 a.m. Thursday at Rock-dale Junior-High School. No damage estimate was available.
Police said a pickup, towing a flatbed trailer, driven by Charles Highsmith of Hockley was in collision with a van driven by Rosalie Williams of Rockdale at 2:01 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of North Main. Police said the van was damaged.
A car operated by Richard Drake of Leander struck a guardrail on FM 908 at the southern city limits at 9 a.m. Sunday, according to police.
SEX ASSAULT—Harris said 29-year-old Tony Crawford of Rockdale was charged with sexual assault of a child, continuous victim, under 14.
Harris said the arrest involved a female and that more than one incident is alleged to have occurred.
Crawford was released after posting $50,000 bond.
SERVICE CALLS—Rfficers responded to 171 calls for the week and there were 91 calls received through the 911 system at the Rockdale Police Station.
