Rockdale Police said a threat by an 11-year-old boy to carve a Zorro-like “Z” into the flesh of another 11-year-old led to an arrest on Saturday.
“The two were arguing and a knife was produced,” Rockdale Police Lt. Stephen Goodrich said.
Police said the 11-year-old who made the threat was charged with aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was transported to the Youth Opportunity Investments Rockdale Campus.
ARRESTS—Police said a traffic arrest of a woman took a different turn when drugs “fell out of her clothing” during the booking process at the police station.
Angela Ann Mason-Coddington, 37, of Round Rock, was charged with tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair, possession of controlled substance (4 to 200 grams) and prohibited substance in correctional/civic/community facility.
She remains in custody on $90,000 bond.
Other felony arrests during the past week were listed as follows:
• Steven Michael Julius 44, Rockdale, forgery-defraud/harm of another elderly, in custody on $5,000 bond.
• Timothy Andrew Montelongo, 18, unauthorized use of vehicle, released on $5,000 bond.
• Kenghana Parsons, 51, Rockdale, resist arrest, search or transport, possession of controlled substance (less then one gram) in a drug-free zone, released on $17,500 bond.
• Phillip Lee Pack, 42, Rockdale, possession of controlled substance (less than one gram) in drug-free zone, released on $15,000 bond.
• Joshua Ray Brady, 36, Rockdale, possession of controlled substance (less than one gram) in drug-free zone, released on $15,000 bond.
ACCIDENTS—Police investigated a two-vehicle accident 12:41 p.m. Oct. 1 at 600 West Cameron.
Drivers were listed as Robert Crenshaw of Galveston and Bethany Lehnert of Rockdale.
Police said an unknown vehicle struck a vehicle owned by Terrace Mitchell while it was parked at Julio’s Mexican Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
A two-vehicle collision was reported at 2:48 p.m. Monday near Miller-Starnes Chevrolet-Buick. Drivers were listed as Ronald Obando and Kayla Morgan, both of Rockdale.
CITATIONS—Police issued 51 situations during the past week, including 34 for speeding.
SERVICE CALLS—Officers responded to 128 calls for service and there were 110 calls received through the 911 emergency system.
