A 13-year-old female was charged with assaulting a Rockdale police officer Saturday after he was called to a Belton Avenue domestic incident Friday.

Lt. Stephen Goodrich said Ofc. Michael Hubnik was not seriously injured when he was kicked while trying to detain the juvenile.

Goodrich said she “tried to take a vehicle by force.” She was charged with robbery, resisting arrest, search or transport and assault on peace officer.

ASSAULT—Goodrich said a July 25 domestic incident led to the arrest of 34-year-old Jamie Leah Bailey of Rockdale.

She was charged with assault family-household member-impede breath/circulation, and remains in custody on $6,000 bond.

INCIDENTS—Police are investigating an incident in which Goodrich said a victim was threatened with a vehicle and a knife.

The victim did not sustain injuries, he said.

Goodrich said police are carrying as a “missing person” case a report that the woman could not be contacted.

Also investigated was an incident at a Rockdale motel in which coin-operated machines were damaged.

Goodrich said video of the incident assisted in the investigation.

Other offenses reported to police during the past week included burglary, assault, criminal mischief, theft of firearm and hindering apprehension/prosecution.

ACCIDENT—Minor damage was reported in a two-vehicle collision at 8:06 p.m. July 24 in front of Snap Fitness, 700 block of West Cameron (US 79).

Police only listed one driver’s name—Hayden Wilson of Rockdale.

CITATIONS—Police issued citations during the past week that included 16 for speeding, five for failure to maintain financial responsibility, four for displaying expired registration, two each for public intoxication, animal at large and failure to report change of name or address, driving while license suspended, no driver’s license, running a red light and running a stop sign.

SERVICE CALLS—Offi - cers responded to 168 calls for service during the week and there were 101 calls received through the 911 system.
