Vision Historic Preservation Foundation collaborated with their architectural team, Architexas, TxDOT and Big Creek Construction to clarify design plans in front of The 1895. Work is set to begin and will correct both the accessibility of the sidewalk as well as the downstairs entrances.

“Neither the existing sidewalk nor the ramps at The 1895's south entrance thresholds meet the slope requirements for proper ADA access,” stated Foundation Campaign Manager Curah Beard. “We are pleased this project will help remedy this exterior accessibility issue.”

A redesign of Cameron access driveways for the recently acquired lots east of The 1895 will be a parking lot planned west of the Antique Queens building, which should accommodate 12 parking spaces.
