Miller also expresed a desire to upgrade conditioning and improve morale in the girls department and believes Miller can contribute.

Since long time girls coordinator Janet Havelka retired two years ago, Miller has been acting as both boys and girls coordinators.

The Lady Tiger volleyball team has made just one playoff appearance in the past 14 years and has not recorded a winning season in the same time period.

In his two years at Levelland, he guided the Loboettes to the playoffs for the first time in 13 years.

He has also made stops at Poteet and Lubbock Cooper.

David Smiley of Rosebud Lott comes in as a football assistant and will also be basketball coach Liz McQuitter's top assistant.

Smiley was the Lady Cougars' head basketball coach. Rockdale was a coach short last season and Smiley will fill that void.

Miller also brought two junior high coaches aboard in Miranda Loewe and Erin Hodges.

Loewe is the daughter of Tiger basketball coach Dusty Loewe and this is her first job after graduating from Schreiner.
