All four of the Rockdale Junior High tennis teams placed in the top three at the district meet.

Led by the first place seventh grade girls, the eighth grade girls team placed third; the eighth grade boys team placed second as did the seventh grade boys team.

Additionally, both the eighth grade and seventh grade girls combined team totals earned the girls an overall first in district.

The g irls' teams included the following players: Eighth grade—Caroline Wilde, Breann Breithaupt, Ashley Page, and Visha Henderson. Seventh grade—Makenlee Worley, Cierra Pomykal, Melanie Ibarra, Shelby Jeffcoat, Autumn Davenport, and Erin Free. Individual results were as follows:

Girls singles matches—second place, seventh grade, Makenlee Worley; third place, seventh grade, Cierra Pomykal; eighth grade Caroline Wilde. Girls Doubles Matches—second place, seventh grade, Autumn Davenport and Erin Free; fourth place, eighth grade, Visha Henderson and Ashley Page

Boys singles matches—third place, eighth grade, Nick Pelzel.

Boys doubles matches—third place, eighth grade, Patric Trejo and Jacob Crump; second place seventh grade, Javante Gates and Pete Heintze; first place, seventh grade, Lane Schweitzer and Josh Pelzel.

NET WORTH—The Thorndale Middle School Tennis Team are District Champions. In girls' seventh grade singles, Mary Unnasch placed first and Paige Laurence placed fourth. In girls' seventh grade doubles, Kameron Holder/Kelbi Kovar placed first. In girls' eighth grade singles, Marlene Hall placed first and Sissy Walker took second place. Eighth grade girls' doubles, Shelbie Maupin/Iris Leyendecker placed first. The eighth grade boys' doubles team of Sam Stockton/Tucker Thomas took first place.
