Vrana-Richards vows said in Minerva

Mr. and Mrs. Jason William Richards Mr. and Mrs. Jason William Richards Elizabeth A nn Vrana and Jason William Richards were united in marriage on Feb. 14, 2009, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the Minerva community near Rockdale. Rev. David Reaves officiated at the wedding.

Angie Schneider was in charge of the music which included "Come Away With Me" by Nora Jones, "Your Song" from Moulin Rouge, and "I Do" by Paul Brandt.

Elizabeth is the daughter of Chris and Perry Thomas of Royse City and the late Louis Vrana of Rockdale. She is the granddaughter of Red and Catherine Allison of Ratcliff and the late Beulah and Louis Vrana Sr. of Kountze.

Jason is the son of John and Melina Kitto of Plains; the late Sam San Filippo of Brooklyn, New York; and Kenneth and Phyllis Richards of Graham. He is the grandson of Roy and the late Joyce Millsap of Plains; Lois Richards of Graham; and Mike and Beverly Kitto of Mesa, Arizona.

Elizabeth was given in marriage by her family and escorted by Lloyd Reaves, family friend.

She wore a wh ite for ma l Cinderella wedding gown. The beaded bodice with a sweetheart neckline fastened in the back forming a heart. The dropped waistline flowed into a full skirt accented by roses on a lace overlay. Hand sewn cr ystals and beadwork accented the sleeves and see-through lace panels decorating the skirt and train.

Elizabeth wore a silver locket necklace which held pictures of her dad, Louis and Jason. Her shoulder-length veil was accented by a jeweled tiara. She carried a bouquet of fresh purple roses.

Matrons of honor were Rebecca Parker, cousin of the bride, and Tess Tusberg, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Leticia Deleon- Kuehn, Chassidy Conley and sis- ter-in-law of the bride, Michelle Vrana. The f lower girls were Haley McAlmond and McKayla Goodman.

The best man was David Green, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Roy San Filippo, brother of the groom, Gerald Goodman, Tony Ziccardi, friends of the groom, and AJ Tusberg, brotherin law of the bride. Ringbearers were Wesley Kuehn and Christopher Green.

Serving as ushers were John Vrana, Danny Vrana, brothers of the bride, Joshua Hill, cousin of the bride and John P. Landry, brother-in-law of the groom.

Rachel Hill, cousin of the bride, was the reception director. The "Fairytale Come True" reception was held at the Patterson Center and decorated in the bride's colors, shades of purple, silver and blue.

A fajita buffet was catered by the Deleon family of Rockdale.

The bride's cake was topped by a lighted Cinderella's castle. The groom's cake was in the shape of a tall building with a Superman figurine. Both were created by Glenda Morgan.

DJ for t he recept ion was Danny Hernandez. Members of the houseparty were Albert and Marilyn Weller, Lawayne Reaves, Shannon Kuehn, Glenda Morgan, Andrea Hill and Audra Hill.

Wedding photographer was Amy Casas.

Elizabeth and Jason now reside in Lovington, New Mexico.
