Suspect, vehicle, property found after arrest by Arlington police

A 45-year-old man wanted in connection with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and burglary of a habitation charges by Rockdale police has been arrested in Arlington.

Lt.. J. D. Newlin said Harlon Edward Watts, a resident of the Arlington area, was arrested Sunday morning in that city.

Watts had been wanted in connection with the incidents on FM 487 south. "Some property was recovered in the vehicle," Newlin said.

Ofc. Bryan Lightfoot was the investigating officer.

Arrests

Angel Martinez, 20, and 19- year-old Eusebio Martinez, both of Rockdale, turned themselves in Monday to face burglary of a habitation charges and remain in custody on $35,000 bond each.

Newlin said nothing was taken in the burglary.

Other felony arrest complaints filed during the week:

• Rebecca K ay Bright, 30, Rockdale, forgery of a financial instrument, in custody on $5,000 bond.

• Nicole Marie Sadler, 30, Cameron, Montgomery County warrant for larceny theft, in custody.

Accidents

No serious injuries were reported in four accidents investigated by police during the past week.

Vehicles operated by Charles Smith IV of College Station and Rebecca Stroud of Lexington were in collision at 12-noon June 2 on US 79 in front of the Pizza Hut. Damages were termed minor.

Minor damages were reported in a two-vehicle accident at Milam Medical Center at 4:41 p.m. Saturday. Drivers were listed as Wanda Reed of Rockdale and Shannon Neubert of Louisville, Kentucky.

Police reported a "possible minor injur y " at 12:22 a.m. Thursday in a one-vehicle rollover on FM 908 south of Pecan Street. Driver was listed as Patrick Zapata of Rockdale.

A hit-and-run was reported at 6:04 p.m. Saturday at USA Foodmart. Police said a vehicle owned by Tammie Jefferson of Rockdale was struck by a blue SUV.

Juvenile

Newlin a 16-year-old female juvenile was arrest in connection with an assault investigation.

Police also investigated a burglary, a simple assault and a criminal mischief report.

Citations

Two curfew violation citations and one citation for possession/ consumption of alcohol in motor vehicle were issued in addition to 62 traffic tickets, 34 of them for speeding.
