THS scholarships total $212,000

THORNDALE- Thorndale High School seniors were awarded over $212,800 in scholarships and awards June 4 at ceremonies held at the school cafeteria.

The 48-member Class of 2009 received diplomas the following night at Bulldog Stadium, hearing speeches from valedictorian Preston Stolte and salutatorian Lindsey Youngblood.

Scholarships awarded were:

Texas A&M University Commerce, Volleyball—Jillian Atkins (undisclosed).

Senior Scholarship Career Studies Class- Jillian Atkins, Raymond Avila, Michael Bailey, Kayley Browning, Breanna Carrizales, Brittany Cornwell, Blake Doughty, Zachary Flores, Courtney Glenn, Andrea Herzog, Moses Hinostrosa, Jordan LaCaille, Jose Martinez, Nathaniel Meador, Kali Pachl, Dustin Posey, Tyler Pounders, Joe Salinas, Clay Schneider, Cody Schneider, Rainey Simank, Kayle Titlow, Sylvia Torres, Jennifer Wallace, Samantha Vasquez, Lindsey Youngblood, Morgan Youngblood (various amounts).
