Family's 70th annual reunion next week

By KAY LAGRONE Reporter correspondent

Just eight days and counting before the 70th annual Lagrone Family Reunion. The guys have really been working hard to get everything ready out at Nannie Lagrone's place. The work is hard but when we see everyone young and old having loads of fun it is all worth it.

Come and join the Lagrone Family on Father's Day weekend, June 19- 21 at the Norine Lagrone place. A revival is a new part of the reunion this year starting at 6 p.m. Friday along with a hamburger dinner. On Saturday night, its hot dogs, homemade ice cream and the Lagrone Muster ceremony.

Sunday mor ning w ill a lso include a church service and breakfast for the workers. Sunday lunch is an all you can eat of barbecue, great sides and fantastic desserts. There will be volleyball, softball, basketball and dominoes played all weekend and a little bit of fishing for sure.

From all reports, the Rockdale Jubilee Days Rodeo and dances were a lot of fun. Lange Debault and Cody Davidson put on some great entertainment. Marie was in 4-H with Lange and Janie and Cody were in kindergarten together. Cody is also the grandson of Milano residents Carroll and JoAnn Davidson.

Attention all members of the Milano High School class of 1966, it's get-together time again. The Milano Former Students Association has set its homecoming luncheon for Saturday, Sept. 12 at the high school cafetorium. I am going to have a room reserved where our Class of '56 classmates can meet and visit. Speaking for myself, I'm not getting younger and it would be great to see everyone.
